The Inbetweeners Movie Sequel Confirmed By The Show's Creators!
After watching the smash hit movie last summer, we thought that The Inbetweeners had ended their quest for clunge on a high in Malia.
But due to the overwhelming success of the film - it earned more than £45m at the last count - the makers of the show, Damon Beesley and Ian Morris, have decided to take another trip with the Pussay Patrol.
The thing that we can’t work out it is this: how are they going to make this work? At the end of the film the boys were all going their seperate ways, with Simon and Will off to uni and Jay going to fit car stereos with Rio Ferdinand.
So what could possibly bring the boys back together again? Maybe Will, Jay and Neil are going to make a trip to Simon's university for Carnage. But that doesn't make quite as good movie material as their first lads holiday.
Earlier this year, rumours were circulating that the next film could be the stag do for Neil's wedding. But then they're in danger of trying to do a British version of The Hangover.
Damon Beesley told The Sun: “I don’t want to give too much away at this stage but yes, we have been developing an idea for a sequel.
“We miss working with Simon, Joe, James and even Blake too much not to give it a go.”
Iain Morris later confirmed to one fan on Twitter that The Sun's story is true, but "it's far from signed and like Damon said we want to make sure we have a good enough story to tell."
Joe Thomas, James Buckley, Simon Bird and Blake Harrison are reportedly in line to get £2.5m each, after the first film - which hits US cinemas on September 13 - racked up so much money.
Overall, the idea of another Inbetweeners movie is brilliant news. We’re just terribly worried that it would fail to deliver. Much like the Royal Mail on strike.
