Grid 2: Debut Trailer Has Got Us Wanting This Racing Game So Bad!
Bored of car games that are full of gimmicky options, like the ability to needlessly stick vents on your bonnet or turn your car matte pink?
Looking for a real racing game to test your skills in tyre-screeching drag sprints, strategic endurance runs or against others of the same calibre?
Then you’re in luck: GRID 2 is finally here! Well, the trailer is anyway…
After two years of production we finally get wind of Codemasters’ prequel to Race Driver: GRID – the BAFTA award-winning game that set the bar for console motorsports. It included the introduction of the flashback time rewind feature and set new standards for damage, AI and game visuals.
Petrol heads can race through the streets of three continents, including the likes of Chicago, Paris and Abu Dhabi - not to mention screeching through a whole load of familiar licensed circuits in four decades worth of the world’s most iconic, handpicked cars. Breathe, people breathe!
And it doesn’t stop there! The makers have proudly announced that they have set new standards for a racing multiplayer experience with their extensive gameplay component and unique progression system that no other competitive motorsport game can rival. And let’s hope so with their integration of RaceNet – the online community portal where players can track races, rewards and rivals!
The game, available of Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, will feature the next-generation of the EGO Game Technology Platform in order to power handling, AI, damage advancements as well as state of the art graphics which are sure to put a pylon in your pants.
In short: it's going to be awesome
