Dredd 3D Trailer And Awesome Slow-Motion Comic Con-Clip!
Dredd 3D's trailer has landed and the reboot of the awesome 2000AD comic is looking like the sort of gritty, action-heavy bullet fest that the 1995 Stallone movie should have been.
Karl Urban is stepping into Dredd's huge boots. Hopefully he won't be taking off his helmet every two minutes to go gallivanting with weird cannibals in prosthetics, and will be shooting drugged-up gangs in the face, instead.
The snazzy drug in the film makes the brain feel as though time is passing at 1% its normal speed... and oddly puts bright Instagram-style filter over everything, as well.
Ma-Ma (Lena Headey) is the scarred villain controlling a goon-filled tower block, which Judge Dredd and a rookie Cassandra Anderson (Olivia Thirlby) have to clear.
In the comics Cassandra has some awesome psychic powers, including being able to read people's minds and see things before they happen, although we don't know if she can do this in the film!
BUT WAIT. THERE'S MORE:
At Comic-Con they released an awesome super slow-motion clip of Judge Dredd shooting some druggies in the face (yay, we were hoping he'd do that).
Overall Dredd 3D is looking to be a decent and worthwhile reboot, which is refreshing considering the swathe of eighties flicks making their way back into Hollywood's recently.
But we want to know what you think: do you remember the Judge Dredd comics? Are you sick of comic book films altogether? Let us know!
