Borderlands 2: Watch The New Wimoweh Comic-Con Gameplay Trailer!
The dubstep-fuelled launch trailer for Borderlands 2 had us buzzing, but the latest gameplay trailer is looking especially slick. And it's set to the tune of The Lion Sleeps tonight, which is pure jungle genius.
Borderlands 2 looks more gorgeous than an angel's arse dripping in honey. The cel-shaded graphics perfectly accompany the tongue-in-cheek mega violence and the latest gameplay gives us a glimpse each of the character's special moves too.
Salvador The Gunzerker (the huge bloke) can dual-wield weapons - anything from rocket launchers and pistols to shotguns and uzis. Axton is the Soldier class and will be able to drop an automated turret to shoot seven shades out of the ravenous monsters.
Maya is the Siren with magical powers - she can make herself invisible and run through walls, like a sexy poltergeist. Zer0 (yeah, it’s spelled like that) is an assassin who can project a decoy of himself to confuddle enemies, then slice off their nuts like a sneaky bastard.
The game looks set to have a host of new enemies too, which is great as the original Borderlands had far too many of the same respawning monsters. New blood includes a tubby munchkin with a huge shield covered in midget psycho enemies, a massive four-armed purple ogre and mechanised killing machines.
Finally, if you pre-order the game, you'll be able to nab the new character class Mechromancer as soon as the DLC becomes available. Rumours are her special power will be controlling Deathtrap robots!
Borderlands 2 is coming out on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 21 September!
