Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 - New Villains Trailer Reveals Raul Menendez!
Following on from the explosive E3 footage, the latest trailer for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 has landed and it paints a gritty picture of the game's lead villain, Raul Menendez - the leader of a group called Cordis Die.
So, what does the latest Black Ops 2 trailer tell us?
1) YouTube is still around in 2025.
Yep, no matter how screwed up all the world gets with all this global war malarkey, you can be rest assured that Google's emporium of cat comedy and Call Me Maybe parodies will still be going strong in the future. In fact, the game's villain, Raul Menendez, has racked up hundreds of millions of views as some sort of vlogging messiah. Could this mean you'll be fighting against his indoctrinated followers when s**t hits the futuristic hovering digi-fan?
2) Trent Reznor (from Nine Inch Nails) is doing the soundtrack.
He also scored the soundtrack for The Social Network, but Trent is continuing the trend of established musicians and composers putting together soundtracks to games, along with Noisa doing Devil May Cry: DMC and Health, who did the entire banging soundtrack for Max Payne 3.
3) There will be jet packs.
There's no way they'll show us something this awesome without letting us having a crack at it in the game. Odds are it'll probably make up the start of a single-player mission, but it would still be awesome as a killstreak perk in multiplayer.
4) Frank Woods knows Raul Menendez!
Apparently, Menendez wasn't always evil and he obviously has some sort of connection with Frank Woods, as he passes him a two-parted medallion in the trailer. As the game's timeline hops between the 1980s and 2025, we're expecting a serious Darth Vader-esque downfall for Menendez - but hopefully minus the soppy intergalactic love story.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is released on 13 November on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC!
