South Park: The Stick Of Truth Trailer!
It may be just us, but after watching its debut trailer, we reckon South Park: The Struck Of Truth is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated gaming releases of 2013.
In the game, you begin as the new kid in town facing a harrowing challenge: making friends. As you start your quest, the children of South Park are embroiled in a city-wide, live-action role-playing game, casting imaginary spells and swinging fake swords.
Over time, the simple children's game escalates into a battle of good and evil that threatens to consume the world. Which perfectly explains why Jesus is flying around with an M16 rifle, obviously.
You can arm yourself with magical weapons to defeat legions of South Park's most memorable species, including crabpeople, underpants gnomes, hippies and many others. The aim of the game is to discover the lost Stick Of Truth and earn your place at the side of Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny as their new friend.
It sounds simple, doesn't it? But don't expect it to be, as the developers of the game (Obsidion Entertainment) are also those behind the likes of Fallout: New Vegas - so you can be sure of plenty of taxing challenges throughout.
The game is also certain to provide the definitive South Park gaming experience for the very first time - it's written and voiced by creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and marks their first serious input into any South Park game (there have been five before now).
They even appeared at E3 this year to release the trailer, where they revealed that they had to map out the town for the first time in the show's history just for this game. Let's hope all the work that's clearly gone into it is worth it come next year.
South Park: The Stick Of Truth is released on 5 March 2013!
