Games Reviews: God Of War 3!
God Of War III
(PS3) The king of button-mashing third-person brawlers returns to show imitators (even the decent ones like Dante’s Inferno) exactly how it should be done. Namely with outstanding graphics and spectacular violence. How can you possibly get bored of ripping people’s heads off? Especially when it’s animated with such blood-spraying attention to detail. Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain and now this? If you haven’t got one already, you need to invest in a PS3 immediately.
Perfect Dark XBLA
(Xbox 360) N64 classic updated to compete with the likes of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Well, not quite – but they have prettied up the graphics and added online multiplayer. Apart from that, it’s much the same as it always was
(i.e. pretty damn awesome) and absolutely unmissable for nostalgia freaks.
Moto GP 09/10
(Xbox 360, PS3) Improved in practically every way from the rushed-out MotoGP 08 – especially the career mode, where you’ve got control over both the hiring and firing of your loyal behind-the-scenes team. Still, it can’t escape the fact it’s just about MotoGP (the clue’s in the title) – we’d rather stick with Forza.
