FIFA vs PRO EVO: Arsenal Verdict!

FIFA Pro EvoOnce again, FIFA and Pro Evo go head-to-head, but this year, ZOO can’t decide which title to snap up – both are that good. So we drafted in Arsenal youngsters Kieran Gibbs and Sanchez Watt to give their verdicts.

And it’s a fair test: Watt’s a big Pro Evo fan and Gibbs has played FIFA – and nothing else – for three years. It’s time to put the lads’ reputations on the line…

SCORING
From the off (or perhaps just because he’s losing), Kieran is clear on one thing: “FIFA’s much harder to score on than the old game. I like it though, because it means my goals are quality!”
He’s right. But it’s better for the added realism and the days of 4-4 scorelines are all but over.
However, Sanchez complains, “Giving the ball to Messi on Pro Evo virtually guarantees a goal and the top players are too good.”

SET PIECES
While claiming to be a deadball specialist, Sanchez has problems with the set pieces on FIFA: “I don’t like the free-kicks or corners – they’re too hard to control.”
He could be making a fair point, but Kieran then slams a free-kick straight into the top corner. So maybe not, eh Sanchez?

FIFA Pro EvoREALISM
“The players look much more realistic on Pro Evo,” reckons Sanchez. “When you’re playing with them, you know who it is by their style and how they run and move. You don’t get that on FIFA.”
Kieran agrees: “Pro Evo has nailed the player likenesses.” And to prove it, he brings himself off the bench and showboats.

MOVEMENT
Both titles have added 360º turning circles, meaning the players aren’t limited to just a handful of directions. It’s a hit with the lads. “It’s probably why I scored the winner,” confesses Sanchez.
Both players and the trajectory of the ball can go anywhere on the pitch, which means if you’re good enough, any goal is possible.

FIFA Pro EvoTHE VERDICT

After hours of deliberation and some stunning goals, the boys agree both games have made similar improvements.
Sanchez keeps changing his mind over which title he prefers: “I play both. I’ll feel like I’m cheating on one if I choose the other!”
After another agonising discussion, he finally comes to a decision. And as luck would have it, Kieran agrees and delivers the verdict: “For 2010,” he says, “it’s FIFA through and through.”

THE WINNER IS: FIFA 10

Further more, one big economic issue of our nation is academic fund. Another area that's been hit hard by the recession is universities, as it's getting harder for students to fund college. Since trying to fund college isn't easy to begin with at state schools, private schools are a veritable nightmare – and it's leading many institutions to revise college admission policy, and with shrinking endowments there's less aid to go around. Some students are able to cope with costs with part time jobs, but if you $20,000 a semester in tuition, you'd have to work part time as a stock broker to dent the bills. Some students can still get personal loans to fund college, but it's getting harder – maybe some universities should cancel football programs – and put it towards real students.
