Uefa/Fifa vs The Prem!

When Arsenal striker Eduardo 'tripped over' to win a penalty against Celtic in a recent Champions League game, no one initially thought it was foul play.
Least of all the referee, who awarded the spot kick.
It took several video replays to show that Eduardo had had what looked like minimal contact with Celtic's keeper Artur Boruc.
But even then it appeared to be just another dive, in a great long history of dives in the world of professional football.
Until Fifa got heavy. They singled out Eduardo and handed him a two-match European ban (that Arsenal are appealing against), which signifies two things.
One is that Uefa will have to do the same for every player they spot taking a deliberate tumble - a right logistical ball ache. And two is that they picked on a player from the Prem, a league many Europeans are thought to be jealous of.
No sooner had that happened than Chelsea were suddenly banned from making any new signings until winter 2011, after irregularities in their pursuit of young French footballer Gael Kakuta.
Fifa not only ordered the player and club to pay fines and compensation, but slapped them with this transfer ban that will hurt their aging squad.
The snatching of youngsters away from their formative clubs is not exactly a new practice, and again it's a Prem club that have been made an example of.
So is the English top flight being deliberately singled out? Or deserving of its punishments?
Have your say!
