Hooligans: You Decide!
Fighting in the streets, rumbles in the ground and one man stabbed. Not exactly what a game of football is meant to be about.
In hooliganism's 'glory' days of the 1970s and 1980s, thuggery was often the reputation surrounding football.
But over the years, most thought all that was over. Unfortunately, it wasn't over, it was back. And not what the FA wanted just when trying to bid for the 2018 World Cup.
West Ham and Millwall was always going to be a volatile fixture. If the beatings outside the stadium wasn't enough, fans spilled onto the pitch three times during the second round Carling Cup tie at Upton Park.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has called for the balls to be 'put back in the pot' if West Ham and Millwall ever draw each other in Cup competition again.
Would this be a sensible move, if this fixture means lives are at risk? Or would it upset the rules of football, wherein any two clubs should have the potential to meet in the cups?
Have your say.
