In clinching the Formula One world title Lewis Hamilton realised a dream that began 13 years ago when, age 10, he approached McLaren team principal Ron Dennis and said: “I want to race for you one day.” Almost clinching the title in his rookie season, Lewis set a number of records and only lost out on the championship by one point. Making sure this season, Lewis became the youngest F1 world champion at 23 years and 301 days - sitting just one point above Ferrari’s Felipe Massa.
