Everton brake record fee
Having struggled to land players all summer David Moyes showed his hand on deadline day with the club record transfer capture of Standard Liege midfielder Marouane Fellaini. The 20-year-old Belgium international was snapped up for £15m after his two excellent performances against bitter rivals Liverpool in the Champions League qualifier.
Moyes also managed to push through the transfer of sick note Man United striker Louis Saha for an undisclosed fee.
