Sunny Weekend

It’s been a glorious few days here in Blighty – can it last? Who knows? But, the weekend was stunning. Bright, sunny, hot. What more could one ask for in early May? Mrs Nobbs’ parents were visiting us this weekend from France. We’ve had their camper van parked on our drive for 5 days. But, they proved useful. Because they were here to see Nobbs Jr rather than me or Mrs Nobbs, we got a chance to work on the allotment. In fact, Father-in-law-of-Nobbs helped out—he enjoys that sort of thing.

Here are some photos of what we got done.

My Raspberries and Loganberries are off to a good start.

And the cauliflowers are looking good.

I’ve got my Tomatoes in, but I don’t hold out much hope for them in our climate.

Although a good crop of strawberries would be nice.

The onions are growing well

And my spuds are finally starting to break through.
