The Edinburgh Festival 2012's Funniest Comics Share Their New Jokes!

The Edinburgh Festival's Funniest Comics 2012!

The sheer utter amazingness of the Edinburgh Festival – which started last week – doesn’t take a lot of explaining.

Basically, it’s the country’s finest comedians performing in a series of random locations across a city where you can drink 24 hours a day. For one whole month.

With that in mind, we thought we would celebrate this mammoth event by getting seven of our favourite stand-up comedians – all of whom are doing brand new shows in the Scottish capital this month – together in a pub for a few beers.

Needless to say, when they started telling us what it is that makes the Festival so great/bizarre/exhausting, there was a fair bit of laughter…

Paul Chowdhry

A very, very angry man

“Russell Brand came to watch my show once and he got some action. That’s how powerful my show is: people actually come to see me to pull. I’m like the Dalai Lama of comedy – I bring people together. Although on some of the late night shows with the crazier crowds, it can simply be a matter of survival! That’s what

I enjoy about being up there for a month: getting to do your show every day. But it does mean you’re stuck among these pricks. Look at this madness. Imagine this for a month – and this is a quiet night!”

Festival funny

“The Spice Girls are back together. I’d rather watch two girls get back together with one cup.”

Paul will be performing nightly at the Pleasance Two at 9.50pm
