Jimmy Carr: Funniest Man In Britain!

Jimmy Carr has been voted by you - the loyal ZOO public - as Britain's funniest man!

The 38-year-old gag merchant, best known for his deadpan delivery and dark humour, topped the poll in front of 99 hilarious others - such as popular funnymen Frankie Boyle, Michael McIntyre and John Bishop.

"I’m genuinely thrilled, because this is probably my greatest achievement – I’ve not won many awards," said Jimmy when we gave him his award. "ZOO readers are the young lads at my gigs, so it’s nice to know we’ve got the same sense of humour."

There was a surprise entry at number seven from Blackpool boss Ian Holloway. During his two years managing the seaside club, Holloway has become famous amongst football fans for his highly quotable off-the-wall interviews. Just outside the top ten were national treasure Stephen Fry in 17th place, Mrs Katy Perry himself Russell Brand in 14th and Pub Landlord Al Murray in 19th.

There was even room for bonkers Brazilian X Factor contestant Wagner in 62nd!
