In the spirit of their ethos, we are aiming to get as many people to join the Ctrl Alt Shift site by World Aids Day (Dec 1st 2008) as possible. Each sign-up will be a protest against the fact that people with HIV/Aids are not allowed into 12 countries, including Russia, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. These protests will be hand delivered to the relevant embassies on World Aids Day.

Unbelievably up until 28 October, the US had restrictions in place restricting people with HIV entering the country. It was only by people making their voice heard that this changed.

It is unjust and unacceptable in the 21st century for there to be such restrictions in place, violating people’s basic human rights.
