ROCKET: James Derek Long.
TUBES: Just put Derek! I'm Peter James Dale.

Tell us about how you both got your Soccer AM jobs. What was the interview like?
ROCKET: What interview? I turned up and never left. I walked into the office and said, "Alright, my name's Rocket." They asked if I wanted to work over the summer for free. I did and never left.
TUBES: Same here. I made really good tea. That was 10 years ago.

How's fame changed your life?
ROCKET: I get the odd drunken bloke getting me in a head-lock. I suppose they see people taking the piss out of me on the show and have a go themselves.

Who's the nicest footballer you've met?
TUBES: John Terry. I'm a season ticket holder at Stamford Bridge, so to meet him was amazing. I was at the PFA Awards and my producer told me to go and interview him. I froze, but John Terry walks over and says, "Alright, Tubes?" He knew my name! How good is that?
ROCKET: Gazza. I was 16 and hanging out with him. But I had to go because my mum was collecting me. He said, "Rocket, if you're ever in Newcastle give me a ring and I'll pick you up on my Harley Davidson." He wrote his phone number on a packet of fags and gave it to me. Two years later, I got the nerve to call it, but unfortunately, by then he'd changed it.

Who's been the best celeb guest in 500 Soccer AM episodes?
TUBES: Noel Gallagher is brilliant. He's the coolest man in the world. Audley Harrison was a bit funny. He walked in and said, "I want some breakfast - and so do this lot." He had an entourage of about 30 people. I spent the whole show doing fry-ups and by the time I was done, Harrison said, "It's a bit late now, mate."

Who's the fittest Soccerette you've had on?
TUBES: Kelly Kelly, the WWE girl. She was so fit! The show wasn't very good, because no-one was concentrating. It's the only time the fans have gone straight to the girl for photos rather than the presenters. Her legs were the best things I've ever seen in my life.

Anyone ever pulled a Soccerette?
ROCKET: Look how red Tubes has gone!
TUBES: What? I've never pulled any of them!

What about loudest fans?
TUBES: Newcastle fans are always loud. We put them up in a hotel on the Friday and you do get a few casualties come Saturday morning.

Let's pay homage to Helen!
TUBES: Helen's the best female presenter in Britain. She loves football, she's fit and she's a nice person. I think I love her. Seriously, she's incredible.
ROCKET: She is amazing. The way she deals with things is effortless. She never gets flustered. Never. Things go wrong; she just carries on and deals with it.

You should know, Rocket - you've snogged her!
ROCKET: I have. It was my 21st birthday and Helen told me to come on as she had a present for me. She grabbed me and started snogging (right). It wasn't my best performance - we clashed teeth, which is never good. I was gutted.

Tubes. Which star were you most nervous to ask your one question and one question only to?
TUBES: Ben Kingsley. I'd heard he was a bit tricky but I loved him in Sexy Beast. I'd heard you had to call him Sir Ben, but it wasn't true. He was brilliant and a big fan of the show.

Any really not get it?
TUBES: Oh yeah, the American girls don't have a clue. Carmen Electra was cool and liked my hairy chest. But Jessica Alba wasn't happy with me. She didn't understand it at all.

Finally, can you do a rap for ZOO?
TUBES: I'm sitting here with a geezer from ZOO... These sick lyrics are coming outta the blue... Down low, four times!
