Leon Camier Talks Amir Khan, Stewards & Lance Armstrong!
There's only three races left to go now and I've only got one aim: to get back on the podium. I'm riding really well now so I know it will come. My second race at Cadwell Park was probably one of my best on the Ducati; I think I've figured stuff out now.
RINGSIDE FOR KHAN
I've been non-stop the last week or so. On the weekend I had ringside seats for the Amir Khan fight - what a shocker that was! The Alex Arthur and Nicky Cook fight before it was absolutely awesome and I just couldn't believe it when the Khan fight finished so quickly.
I also took part in a cycle race earlier on in the week, it was only my second proper race and I came third. It seems I'm doing better on the pushbikes than the motorbikes right now.
STEWARDS
I know everyone in F1 is talking about Lewis Hamilton's penalty at the Belgium Grand Prix and personally I think it was a rubbish decision. It got me thinking about how lucky we are in the British Championship, the stewards here are normally very fair when it comes to making important decisions.
The relationship between the riders and the stewards is also good. Our boss Colin Wright is held in particular high regard by the stewards and everyone around the sport.
LANCE ARMSTRONG
The big news this week has to be Lance Armstrong coming out of retirement. I'm really excited about it, he's 37 next week and I hope I'm still fit enough to compete at the top level when I'm that age.
He's going to ride in the Tour de France next year and I think he can win it because he wouldn't come back if he wasn't confident he could do it.
His return is even more motivation for me to go out to the Tour. I've been speaking to my trainer about going out there and riding a few of the stages behind the riders, now Lance is back I have to do it.
