Shakey For The Championship!
My partner Shane Byrne can win the championship this weekend, don't ask for the maths I just know we can win it, so I'm under orders not to do anything stupid or risk knocking him off his bike just to beat him! I'll see what I can do.
Any big celebrations will be held until Brands Hatch, last race of the season, though as there's still some races left.
I'd like to finish second in the championship so I've still got some work to do.
It's been frustrating for me the last couple of meets; when we've gone over the race data I've been quicker than Shakey at times, right up to one corner. So we're just working on getting my bike settings right and understanding how I should ride through specific parts of the track.
USAIN BOLT
I missed all the cycling in the Olympics, which was a real bummer, but like the rest of the world I've been really impressed by this Usain Bolt fella. He's something else isn't he? The funny thing is he's a tall guy so he's not supposed to do well over 100metres.
That's probably why I'm so rubbish at sprints, I've always been good at long distance and endurance stuff but when it comes to sprinting I'm woeful. I guess it just makes Usain Bolt even more of a phenomenon.
RETURN TO SCENE OF ACCIDENT
This weekend's meet at Cadwell Park will be the first time I've been back since my accident last year where I broke my pelvis and my leg. But I'm not worried about what happened to me last year, I'm actually looking forward to it, in fact I feel the track owes me a result!
