Slightly built, but with explosive pace, Penny didn’t make break into the Warrington Wolves first team until June last season.
Despite this he scored 12 tries in 12 games, a record that resulted in him making the 2007 engage Super League Dream Team, a group of the 13 best players in the competition.
He is a former schoolboy basketball player who was once targeted for a scholarship in the US.
He only picked up a rugby ball late in his schooling career however he found that the combination of his basketball skills and blistering speed made him a real handful for the opposition.
Kevin’s stunning breakthrough into engage Super League last year saw him get called up to the Great Britain train-on squad for the Gillette Fusion Test Series against New Zealand.
